These are the construction photos of the North Creek Music Systems Borealis Kit. The tweeters are the Scanspeak Revelator D2905/9900 and the woofers are the ScanSpeak 18W/8546 kevlar cone. The crossover are custom built by George Short and use 8 gauge wire inductors.

The Borealis

These speaker are in two parts. The low section is the speaker stand and crossover component enclosure. The upper section is the speaker cabinet. The speaker cabinet contains 13 pound of lead shot to help anchor the mechanical ground.

These are construction photos of the stands. I used the same construction techniques for building these as I did for the speaker boxes. The advantage in doing this allowed me to hone my skills on the stands first and work out any problems before building the speaker boxes. Unfornately I did not document the speaker box building.
